OBJECTIVES

  1. To generate a platform for intercultural dynamics.
  2. Research and discuss about performance practices.
  3. Involve both international and mexican choreographers/dancers in order to engage a dialogue on their respective artistic practices.
  4. Create reflection and experimentation through different approaches and methodologies of creation.
  5.  Invest on collaborative processes that can become the base for future international projects.
  6. Share and generate knowledge that will be registered as a second phase of the encounter.
  7. Create a collective score and/or a catalog

 

OBJECTIVOS:

  1. Generar una plataforma con dinámicas interculturales
  2. Investigar y discutir sobre la práctica escénica contemporánea.
  3. Involucrar  artistas escénicos mexicanos y extranjeros en un diálogo/debate sobre la propia práctica.
  4. Crear una reflexión y una experimentación a través de las distintas aproximaciones y metodologías de creación.
  5. Invertir en un proceso de colaboración que pueda llegar a ser la base de futuros proyectos.
  6. Intercambiar y generar conocimiento para registrarlo como segunda fase del encuentro.
  7. Crear en colectivo algunas partituras y/o catálogo

 • 1. San Luis Potosi

 

(ESP)

15 días de residencia en el Centro de las Artes de San Luis Potosí, especialemente  interado en desarrollar proyectos de  investigación sobre nuevas tendencias artísticas.

Los artistas invitados ofrecerán talleres y performances para involucrarse con la comunidad local.

También en paralelo sucederán procesos de colaboración artística (teóricos y prácticos) conjuntando distintas aproximaciones estéticas y metodológicas

15  days of residence in the Art Center of San Luis Potosi, specially interested on new artistic tendencies and on the development of artistic research.

The invited international artists will offer different activities such as workshops and performances to get involved with the local community.

Several collaborative processes (theoreticals and practicals) will be engaged by the mixed group of mexican and international artists gathering a variety of aesthetics, personalities and art makings.

 

  

  



 

• 2. Mexico City

(ESP)

La segunda etapa será más corta y se llevará a cabo en la Cd. de México. Los participantes del proyecto continuarán el intercambio e investigación desarrollando diferentes conocimientos, ejercicios y acercamientos hacia la creación y producción como recurso de nuevos materiales que puedan resaltar las diferentes acciones, reflexiones y colaboraciones sobre la práctica del quehacer escénico.

Los artistas internacionales presentarán un repertorio de obras durante tres días. También se abrira una charla sobre lo sucedido durante la residencia en el Centro de las Artes de San Luis Potosí y su continuación en la segunda etapa. Se compartirán los resultados del proceso de colaboración. La forma en la que se presentaráse definirá en tiempo real y puede ser una charla, una performance, una presentación multimedia o una mezcal de todo. Esta muestra no pretende ser un producto final pero sí un trabajo de investigación que pueda ofrecer una mirada hacia el interior del proceso.

Toda la información e investigación desarrollado durante la conferencia será registrado (partituras, notas, video, etc.) con lo que se producirá un catalogo y un sitio en internet como plataforma de información.

The second phase is shorter and will happen in Mexico City where the participants will continue the exchange and research developping different knowledges, exercises and approaches of creation and production and a resource of new materials that can point out different actions, reflections and collaborations about performance practices.

The international artists will  present three days of repertory performances. We will also open during this week a window to the public about the residence experience that took place previously in San Luis and the evolution until mexico city sharing the results of the collaborative processes. The form of this presentation will be determined on the real "space-time frame" and can take the form of a talk, performance, multimedia presentation, mixed form, etc. not as a final product but still as a work of investigation on which to give an insight.

All the information and reseach developed during the whole encounter will be registered (scores, notes, video, etc) to produce a catalog and a web site that can be shared.
